Community Partnerships, Training, Grant Opportunities

This August 2013, approximately 150 of our Morans, including our Chief, Chief Assistant and the 10 other members of the Cabinet representing our 12 Maasai land regions visited Maro Manyatta. The occasion was 3-day family planning training which included condom use and HIV testing, was graciously sponsored by USAid under the leadership of APHIA Plus Nuru Ya Bonde Project (FHI360, NOPE, AMREF, Government of Kenya) and other stakeholders like Believe Africa Volunteers, Red Cross Kenya and Network of Youths in Action (NOYA).

We appreciate the support from local, national and foreign organizations and look forward to increasing partnerships with governmental organizations and community leaders.  The valuable educational tools provided to our community have a huge impact on the improvement of the quality of our lives. In addition to basic sanitation skills (personal hygiene, hand washing, waste management), training on business and financial management, negotiation, technology, and leadership skills is of key importance for the successful implementation of our plans and projects.

If you know of any grant opportunities we can apply for, please reach out and let us know!  We are currently discussing the implementation various initiatives to help our community with the following organizations:
